EDM Machining for Metals

Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) is the removal of material from a workpiece by means of electrical erosion between a working electrode and the surface of the workpiece immersed in dielectric fluid. For EDM machining we use, among others, saws, grinders, hollowing machines, lathes, milling machines. We have such equipment in our well-equipped machine park, which enables us to offer comprehensive and timely EDM machining services. If our customers have any doubts as to whether EDM is suitable for a given project, we can advise them on the choice of material processing.

What to use for?Industrial use of EDM

Electrical discharge machining is used in industry to cut difficult-to-cut materials and specialised machine parts. It is used to process hardened materials such as carbide, tool steel, polycrystalline diamond, and allows the creation of complex shapes such as internal corners or threads. EDM is used to make punches, dies, casting and injection moulds, to process fuel rods, turbine blades and compressors.

SPECIALISED METHOD

The highly specialised EDM machining enables processing of even very hard, difficult-to-process materials, which cannot be cut or machined using other methods. In addition, very complex shapes can be obtained.

UNIVERSAL APPLICATION
EDM is applicable to any material that conducts electricity, which makes this method universal and allows the cutting of various types of metals, hardened, difficult, hard, or even impossible to process with other methods.
