Waterjet cutting

Waterjet cutting involves forcing a large quantity of high-pressure water through a small hole in a cutting nozzle. The water vapour that leaves the nozzle hits the material and cuts it – soft materials are easily eroded by the water pressure, for harder ones it is necessary to introduce an abrasive feeding system used in metal cutting. The Waterjet method is an innovative way to precisely and environmentally friendly cut various types of materials with minimal material loss and without the risk of mechanical damage. This is one of the machining methods that we recommend to customers who do not require from the cutting process to be fast, but effective.

Advantages of Waterjet
The best cutting method

In many aspects Waterjet is considered to be the best way of machining. It allows cutting thicker materials than plasma or laser, and at the same time it does not cause mechanical damage to the material such as scratches or small cracks. Waterjet cuts precisely, maintaining high quality of cut edges, and losses on the material are minimal. In addition, it is an environmentally friendly technology because there is no harmful waste or fumes as a side effect. The only disadvantage of Waterjet is the slowness of the process.

OUTSTANDING PRECISION
Definitely better precision of material cutting than other machining methods with cutting, allowing to obtain any shape with high accuracy and perfect edges, and without the need of post machining.

MINIMAL MATERIAL LOSSES
The most effective processing of the raw material leaving as little loss in the material as possible and not affecting its surface structure. Lack of mechanical damage and negative effects of high temperatures, as in heat treating.
